My father, William Lang, was also in the Battle of the Bulge, and attended the ceremony on Thursday at Thorne Middle School. Many thanks to Principal Tom Olausen and Ms. Nowels for planning the event. My father's story is one of heroism, in the face of unbelievable carnage, along with so many other of our brave soldiers. As I talked to him today, on Memorial Day, he recounted the story again to me. I will never grow weary of hearing his account of this battle. His story is one for the history books, as he refers it as the Bungle of the Bulge. After that fierce battle, he became a prisoner of war of the Germans. He later escaped. He, like many in our military, are true heroes. We owe our freedom to them., today, and every day. Thank you!

    Susan,

Thank you for your kinds words. I remember Group C fondly as well, and writing about economic development that your company afforded me. Thanks again.

    Best,
