About Marty

Marci and I moved to Dayton in 1987. Our daughters, Elyse and Caren, were enrolled in the South Brunswick School District for their entire elementary and secondary schools careers. Elyse graduated in 2000; Caren graduated in 2003.

I am a founding member of the Education Foundation of South Brunswick Township, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. I serve as its President.

I was a member of the South Brunswick Board of Education for the nine years ended May 2, 2011. (Marci served for the 12 years before that.) I served as President for three years and Vice President for two years. I was a member of it Budget Committee every year and chaired the committee for several of those years, including 2009 - 2010 and 2010 - 2011. I fulfilled an unexpired member term from May 2012 through the beginning of January 2013. I am a certified public accountant, by training. I help hospitals recover millions of dollars they are entitled to.

For fun, I like to ride my bicycles and help organize events. I help organize the Tour de South Brunswick for the Education Foundation; it occurs the Saturday after Memorial Day. Also, I help organize the Bike Ride for Amy to support uninsured women to receive mammograms; it occurs the Sunday after Memorial Day.

I will be riding 170 miles in mid-May to support multiple sclerosis with a group of friends. I am riding 100 miles in September to support the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
