Reply@Kate, the Admissions Office is coordinating, so my guess is the photos are for university brochures and other marketing materials.

On the article Witherspoon/ Nassau Kiosk Will Be Renovated First
Greta Cuyler

ReplyCaralien, according to multiple presentations by the Chamber, the advertising pays not only for the renovation, but also for ongoing maintenance. Also, see the graphic above, it shows that the public postings will face both the street and the pedestrians. At the public presentations before council, multiple representives of local businesses and nonprofits spoke about the need for a business and nonprofit directory to help visitiors. As for potholes, one of the reasons why some Council members voted for this to be taken over by the Chamber is because the kiosks need a lot of work- which would either be paid by the taxpayers or by the Chamber. Under this proposal, taxpayers won't pay a dime, meaning more money for the Town of Princeton, for, let's say, potholes.

ReplyFran, Non profits can post on the public spaces at the kiosk, which will now have more public space than the existing ones due to the new design. In addition, the Chamber will take down outdated notices, so hopefully they won't be as disorganized as they are now.

On the article New AvalonBay Proposal May Not Permit New Testimony On Traffic Impacts, Environmental Concerns
Greta Cuyler

ReplyDaniel, with all due respect, I disagree. The issues of traffic and potential contamination were among the objectors main concerns, to not allow new testimony on these issues could potentially affect this application greatly. The fact that this document is not finalized is a matter for the court and the parties involved, it does mean that the information cannot be published if a reporter discovers it. I agree that the document could likely be changed before being filed with the court. We reached out to all parties involved on Sunday, including Mayor Liz Lempert, Bernie Miller and AvalonBay. The information we received is all included above.

Grace, follow the link at the end of the article, under "For complete schedule information, click here." It's been more than a year since writing that article, but I believe the lowest fares are available for people who book days in advance.
