UPDATE: South Brunswick Roads Passable

Police report no major incidents; about 10 inches of snow falls on parts township.

10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 South Brunswick Police reported no major incidents during the overnight hours from the winter storm. About 10 inches of snow was reported in parts of the township. Police said public works personnel has been working around the clock to clear all 144 miles of South Brunswick roadways. Police are reminding motorists to remove all ice and snow from their vehicles before traveling on the roads. Fines for violating the new law range from $25 to $75, with fines increasing from $200 to $1,000 when injuries or property damage occur. Commercial motor vehicle drivers face fines ranging from $500 to $1,500 for each offense. The South Brunswick Public Library will be closed today due to the inclement weather. *** 3 p.m. Friday…
