Hospital Employee Charged With Sexually Assaulting Patients

Police are seeking anyone who may have information about this case.

An emergency room worker at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro was arrested on Saturday and charged with forcing a female patient to improperly touch him, and in a separate incident, was charged with sexually assaulting another female patient.  Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Plainsboro Police Chief Richard Furda announced the arrest and charges on Sunday. Edher Osorio, 30, of Princeton was arrested at his home on Saturday, Nov. 24. He was charged with one count of criminal sexual contact arising from an alleged Nov. 23 incident with a 60-year-old female patient, and in the separate incident, was charged with sexual assault involving a 36-year-old female patient in June 2012. New Hospital Information Meeting in South Brunswick Monday

Learn more about the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.

Attend a public information meeting at the South Brunswick Municipal Building to learn more about the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro and other health-related facilities moving in the near future to the 171-acre site in Plainsboro, off Route 1. This facility will be a replacement for the hospital on Witherspoon Street in Princeton. Route 1 Hospital Move "Virtually Flawless," CEO Says

In the span of eight hours, more than one hundred patients were relocated, while one hospital closed and another one opened for business.

As Erica Markee was wheeled through the halls of Princeton Hospital on Tuesday, nurses lined her route, clapping and cheering. Markee, of Lawrenceville, who delivered son Hayden Samuel Markee via C-section on Monday, was the last patient to leave the hospital on Witherspoon Street and be taken by ambulance to the new hospital- University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro- off of Route 1. “It’s very emotional,” Hospital President and CEO Barry Rabner said. "You know we’ve been (in Princeton) for 93 years and there are people who have been working here for 20 years, 30 years, one for 56 years. NJ Transit Launches New Hospital Bus Route

The bus offers transportation from Princeton to the new hospital in Plainsboro.

Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno and New Jersey Department of Transportation Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chairman James Simpson Monday joined Princeton Hospital CEO Barry Rabner and local officials to mark the launch of NJ TRANSIT’s No. 655 bus route to serve the new University Medical Center of Princeton and Plainsboro hospital facility, as well as other key area locations. New Route 1 Hospital Ready for Opening Day

The University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro held a ribbon cutting and open house on Saturday.

Nearly a decade after discussions first began about a new and expanded hospital, officials cut the ribbon at the new University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro on Saturday. “Welcome to your new hospital,” Hospital President and CEO Barry Rabner told members of the public came for a day of celebration and a sneak peek at the new $445 million hospital complex off Route 1 in Plainsboro. “Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to serve you in the past and hope to do our best to serve you in the future,” Rabner said. The new hospital will officially open on Tuesday, May 22, the same day doors will close at the hospital on Witherspoon Street in Princeton.
