Quaker Bridge Mall will add five new retailers in the near future, the Simon Property Group announced Tuesday. Time After Time, a watch store, will open on the upper level next to Old Navy, in May. Body Central, a women's clothing and accessories store, will open in June. The Walking Company, a comfort shoe store, will open in September near the center court. The mall will also welcome two restaurants, Brio Tuscan Grille and Sarku Japan. Charley’s Grilled Subs, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Subway, Sarku Japan and Master Wok will be first tenants to move into Quaker Bridge Mall’s new eight-unit dining pavilion, the mall’s owner, Indiana-based Simon Property Group, announced Tuesday The eateries are expected to open this spring in the new dining pavilion, located on the upper level in the wing of the mall that is home to the Sears department store. The latest businesses preparing to open stores at Quaker Bridge Mall on Route 1 are Bachrach, Bebe, Lush Cosmetics and Vans, the mall’s owner, Indiana-based Simon Property Group, announced in a news release on Tuesday. “These stores are just a few of the many new retailers set to open at Quaker Bridge Mall this year,” Marian Kapp, director of mall marketing, said in the release. “The variety we now offer to customers has grown immensely and is sure to please shoppers of all ages and tastes.” The new stores are expected to be open at the mall on Route 1 by the early summer of this year. Plans for the new upscale 7,431-square-foot, 275-seat Italian restaurant at the mall on Route 1 were approved Monday night by the Lawrence Township Planning Board.
Plans for a new upscale Italian restaurant – Brio Tuscan Grille – at Quaker Bridge Mall were approved last night (Monday, Jan. 14) by the Lawrence Township Planning Board. The new eatery will be built onto the exterior of the mall, along the Route 1 side, between the J.C. Penney department store and the Cheesecake Factory restaurant that opened last September. Brio is part of an Ohio-based chain that recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and operates over 100 restaurants around the country. The nearest Brio is at Freehold Raceway Mall. Others can be found in Cherry Hill, Marlton and Wayne. The interior of Brio’s new restaurant in Lawrence Township will occupy 7,431-square feet, with seating for 220 patrons. Work has started on renovations to Quaker Bridge Mall. The Simon Property Group Inc., owner of the shopping center, announced that major redevelopment work has already begun behind the scenes. The changes will include a revamped tenant mix and upgraded merchandise selection in apparel, accessories and home furnishings. Renovations will include new interior and exterior features and amenities such as a new food hall, upgraded escalators, an elevator, updated restrooms, redesigned mall entrances, landscaping, new flooring, ceiling and handrails among other items.
