Police Investigate Near-Drowning in Plainsboro
A 6-year-old girl was pulled from a swimming pool while attending a birthday party.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Chief Guy Armour of the Plainsboro Police Department announced today that police are investigating the near-drowning of a 6-year-old girl, who was hospitalized after she was retrieved from a hotel swimming pool in the borough. The child, a Trenton resident whose name is being withheld, is being treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where she was taken after she was found in the pool at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Princeton on Jan. 26. Police responded to the hotel after receiving a call shortly after 8:30 p.m., alerting them to the near drowning.
