South Brunswick Police Collect Record Amount of Medication

Operation Take Back collects 208 pounds of unused medication.

South Brunswick Police gathered record high numbers of unused medication as part of last weekend's "Operation Take Back." A total of 208 lbs. of medication was turned over to South Brunswick Police by residents, besting the previous average of about 40 lbs. The operation saw the Drug Enforcement Administration partner with local law enforcement to allow residents to safely dispose of any and all unused or expired medication. The collection included liquid products, such as cough medicine, and other prescription medication. DEA representatives said the amount of medication collected in South Brunswick was one of the largest in Middlesex County.
