A 24-year-old man from Dayton, was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and disorderly conduct after police found him with a knife in his pocket at the parking lot of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School in East Brunswick, Friday, Jan. 21, at approximately 2:30 p.m. The man, James Prendergast, is a former student at the school and was allegedly seen putting the knife it into his pocket after getting out of his car, police said. Patrolman Kevin Bolch, who was working a security detail at the school, spoke to Prendergast and subsequently took him into custody after finding the knife in his pocket, police said. Stanley J. Baguchinsky, of South Brunswick, has joined the Board of Education of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools. Appointed by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Baguchinsky attended his first meeting on March 14. “I was glad to be asked to join this school board because I’ve always been a big supporter of the vo-tech system,” he said. “Here in Middlesex County, they’re doing such great things. I’m happy to be involved.” In addition to committee assignments, Baguchinsky was appointed as the board’s liaison to the New Jersey School Boards Association and the Middlesex County School Boards Association by board president John F.
