American Legion Post 401 donated headphones to the Menlo Park Veterans Home for hearing impaired vets.

Last year the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille Center’s “Outspoken Library” kiosk was installed at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park. The kiosk is designed to enable the veterans who have impaired vision, a physical disability that makes it difficult to hold a book, or a learning disability, to download audiobooks from the National Library Services Braille and Audio Reading (BARD) Program which they can play on a free listening device. But in that type of environment, users really needed headphones so as not to disturb others. Post 401 appropriated funds to make that happen. South Brunswick will play 27 games in little over a month.

While the South Brunswick High School baseball team had a very good season, it was tripped up in both the Greater Middlesex Conference and Group IV state playoffs by Monroe. Fortunately, the South Brunswick American Legion team is guaranteed not to get any trouble from Monroe. While several of the Monroe players will play a different level of baseball this summer, those playing American Legion will do it for South Brunswick Post 401. Manager Tony Cosumano, now in his 37th year, put together a team with players from South Brunswick, Monroe, Highland Park and St. Joe's. "You always want to say you have a good team," Cosumano noted. "We're better on paper than we were last year, but you still have to play the game." Last year South Brunswick …
