St. Joseph Parish and School in Toms River remember Holt, who was fatally shot Monday, as a 'exuberant, energetic and happy student'
Services for the 6-year-old Toms River boy who was fatally shot by a 4-year-old neighbor while the pair were playing will be held Friday and Saturday. Visitation for Brandon Holt will be held Friday, April 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., as well as Saturday, April 13 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals in Toms River. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, according to Holt’s obituary. Daniel J. Cooper, 28, of Kendall Park, N.J., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at home. Born in New Brunswick, Daniel was a lifelong Kendall Park resident. Daniel was a graduate of South Brunswick High School, class of 2003. He was an active member of the Kendall Park First Aid Squad, where he enjoyed serving the community and being a part of the ambulance crew. Dan was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, an avid car enthusiast, and enjoyed sailing with his family. James (Jim) Albert Kimple, 94, of Dent, MN, died on July 11, 2012, at home, surrounded by family. Jim was a long time educator. He taught high school, earned a doctorate from Columbia University, and became a school superintendent. Jim spent most of his career in South Brunswick, NJ, where he was superintendent for 27 years. He was recognized for innovative programs. Jim was passionate about the needs of disadvantaged and special needs students. He was a longtime proponent of outdoor education, organizational development and staff support. Laszlo Nyitrai, who founded the South Brunswick High School wrestling and soccer teams in the 1960's, died last week at the age of 82.

For legendary South Brunswick High School teacher and coach Laszlo Nyitrai, who died of cancer on July 6 at the age of 82, the lessons he taught his former students continue to have a profound influence on their lives many years after they saw him last. Kathy L. Delbridge, 64, of Kendall Park passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, in New Brunswick. Kathy was born in Elizabeth, NJ. Kathleen M. Weber Hill, 67, died Monday, April 2, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was born and raised in Trenton, and resided in Plainsboro and Hightstown before moving to Monroe Township 22 years ago. She was a graduate of Georgian Court College, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in education. She was employed by the South Brunswick Board of Education, where she taught high school English for 35 years, retiring in 2000. For friends, colleagues and former students of South Brunswick educator Joseph Valenti, who died last week, the influence and legacy he left behind will continue to live on long after the tears for his loss have subsided. Vera A. Schwartz, 80, of Kendall Park died on January 22, 2012 at Princeton Hospital. She was born on May 31, 1931 in Hamburg, Germany and moved as a child to Schenectady, NY. She has resided in Kendall Park, NJ since 1967. Mrs. Schwartz attended Michigan University and went to graduate school at Teacher's College, Columbia University. She received her Ed.D. degree at Rutger's University. Mrs. Schwartz taught dance at the University of Vermont, Penn State, and Kean College.
