Ever wish you could fly? At the program, examine bird specimens, bones, and feathers and try to uncover the secrets of flight including: aerodynamics, airfoil, uplift, and feather design. After some intensive indoor investigation, you will head outside and try your hand at making things fly.
Run with the Vikings 5K, South Brunswick High School, 9:30 a.m.
The Viking Athletic Club of South Brunswick High School will be hosting the 9th annual Run with the Vikings 5K and One Mile Fun Run. The one-mile run starts at 9:30 a.m. and the USATF certified 5K starts at 10 a.m. Both cost $20 to register. T-shirts and goody bags to registered runners as they last. The Test of Freedom, South Brunswick Public Library, 2 p.m.
The Test of Freedom is a winner of the 2013 Filmmaker’s Choice Award at the San Diego Black Film Festival. It is about the challenges of being a Muslim-American. The Library is hoping to have the film’s director Khaliff Watkins present for the discussion following the film. The film length is 71 mins.
