On Oct. 11, South Brunswick's Jazz Café series of monthly Friday night concerts presents Paul Plumeri. One part technician, one part poet and one part guitar craftsman, Plumeri has been playing his own style of blues in and around Trenton and eastern Pennsylvania clubs for more than three decades.Saturday

This event will serve as the official, "hard" Grand Opening of the Sand Hills Community Wellness Center at 57 Sand Hills Rd. in Kendall Park. A number of the most popular instructors will give free demo classes throughout the afternoon. There will be a variety of activities suitable for kids as well. Members of the Wellness Board will give tours of the Wellness Center facilities rain or shine. Also weather permitting, there will be outdoor field games for children and the children's playground will be open later in the afternoon.
