Holiday Treats for the Troops This Weekend in South Brunswick

All About Twitter, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction, 1 p.m.

Learn the basics of how to use Twitter, the social networking and microblogging platform.  Learn how to set up an account, tweet, retweet, use hashtags, and decipher twitter streams.  Follow news sites, authors, celebrities, and friends.  

Cub Scout Pack 98 Goodies for Good Guys, Crossroads North Middle School Cafeteria, 7:30 p.m.

Cub Scout Pack 98 will be collecting donations of items to be sent to our troops stationed in Afghanistan. At the meeting there will be several stations set up with a military theme, including a station where the scouts will be writing letters and drawing pictures for the troops. Everyone is welcome to participate and to learn what scouting is all about. Any questions please email joehobbsjr@comcast.net.

Birds are one of
the best ways to connect with wildlife in and around your home. In this class, learn how to make a bird house or birdfeeder from things we normally consider disposable. If you choose to make a birdfeeder, they will give you some seed to get started feeding the birds as soon as you get home. Cost is $5 for non-members, $3 for members. PST Holiday D.I.Y Craft Party at MarketFair, MarketFair 3535 US Highway One Princeton, 1 p.m.

PST will be onsite to help get everyone in the holiday spirit with D.I.Y crafts for all ages. Click here for more information.

Marathi Language Class, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction, 2 p.m.

The purpose of the class is to teach Marathi as a foreign language to children ages 5 and above.  Classes will use multi-media technology and introduce cultural elements relevant to language learning.
