5k for dogs and their owners, puzzle day, 100th anniversary celebration and more highlight weekend events in and around South Brunswick.

Saturday

James P. Weber Sr. Memorial Golf Outing, Bunker Hill Golf Course, Princeton, 11:30 a.m.

The 25th Annual James P. Weber Sr. Memorial Golf Outing will be held at Bunker Hill Golf Course in Princeton. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Cost per golfer will be $130. Your fee will include greens fees, lunch, hot buffet dinner at the conclusion and a chance to win some great prizes. Hole sponsorships are also available for $100 tee or green - $200 for entire hole. Any gift or raffle donations from area businesses would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Puzzle Day Fun, 12 Stults Road, Suite 138, Dayton, noon.

Come and enjoy a puzzle day event with your children at the Eye Level Learning Center of Dayton this weekend. Puzzle activities help improve children's critical thinking and problem solving skills.  Age appropriate puzzle activities will be available at the center. Prizes will be given to those who solve the puzzles in a limited time frame.

100th Anniversary Celebration, Princeton Nurseries Kingston, Mapleton Preserve/D&R Canal State Park, 145 Mapleton Road, Kingston, 1 p.m.

Join the Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands (FPNL) for the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Princeton Nurseries Kingston Site. This event features Princeton Nurseries displays, historic vehicles, celebratory speeches, and live music by The Bare Root Band (William Flemer IV and friends). Refreshments and birthday cake will be served. Beagle day at Rocky Top Dog Park, Rocky Top Dog Park 4106 Route 27, Princeton.

Join the fun, and bring your beagle to Beagle Day. $5 admission charge today, free for Rocky Top members. Visitors must present for admission:  Current dog license and verification of current Rabies and Distemper/Parvo combination inoculations (DHLPP). All dogs must be over 6-months of age; males must be neutered; females must not be in heat. Rain date is Sept. 22. K9's for Kids Dogs & Their Humans 5K Walk to Benefit Children in Foster CareBeech Woods Park, 137 Beekman Road, South Brunswick, noon.

Bring your loved ones, furry and otherwise, to the K9's for Kids 5K Dogs and Their Humans Walk with fun activities for all, including a pet vendor marketplace, pet parade, and award ceremony. In addition,  snacks will be provided and all registered participants and dogs will receive a free t-shirt and dog ID tag, while supplies last. To register, please visit www.fafsfoundation.org. Walkers can also set up fundraising teams on the organization website and each walker is encouraged to raise a minimum of $30 to participate. Don't forget to dress up your pet in their best duds to participate in the parade, and maybe win an award.  Award will also be given to the team leader or individual for most money raised.
