Register for Fall Youth Dramatics programs for South Brunswick resident girls and boys with special needs. Kids Robotics Workshop (Lego Mindstorms)South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction, 3 p.m.

This is a free public event for kids from 9 to 15-years-old to experience building robots using LEGO Mindstorms using an interactive and hands on format. 
Kits and laptops will be provided.

Saturday

Halal Food FestivalRowland Park, 255 Broadway Road, Cranbury (South Brunswick), noon to 7 p.m.

The event brings dozens of ethnic food vendors and entertainment options to the park to promote businesses, while supporting existing initiatives and projects in the community. Vendors lined up for the festival include the Douglass Pizzeria and Grill, Ibby's Falafel, Kasra Restaurant, Khan Kebob, Chinese Mirch, Kabab and Curry Express, Brunswick Pizza and Grill, and much more. Non-food vendors include Wrapped up Diva, Paradise Fashions, SM Henna Designs and more.

1st Annual Hugs for Brady Kickball Tournament, Woodlot Park, 124 New Rd, Kendall Park, 8 a.m.

IACFNJ India Independence Day Celebration, South Brunswick Family YMCA, 329 Culver Road, Monmouth Junction, 11 a.m.

Cultural program of patriotic dances and other performances from area dance schools. Kids games, henna tattoos, face painting and other kids activities. Authentic food sampling and drinks. Free admission to all.
