Hugs for Brady's Blood, Toy, and Food Drive on Saturday

Help local kids fighting cancer by donating blood and toys, and help the less fortunate by donating food at Confectionately Yours on Saturday.

South Brunswick's Hugs for Brady Foundation will be holding a special event on Saturday, as a blood drive, toy drive, and food drive will be ongoing throughout the day at Confectionately Yours on Route 27.

Hugs for Brady began in honor , who died in July 2010 at the age of 23 months after a difficult battle with pediatric leukemia.

Brady's parents Mike and Sherrie Wells started the Hugs for Brady Foundation with the goal of helping the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital (BMSCH) fight the ongoing battle against pediatric cancer.

This Saturday, the Wells will continue their mission to support local kids with cancer, as the Central Jersey Blood
Center is consistently facing a shortage of blood needed for transfusions.

If people schedule their appointment to donate blood ahead of time, Confectionately Yours will provide a free ice cream.
