Dance Storm Showcase to Benefit South Brunswick Food Pantry

The students of Dance Storm International will hold their second annual Give Back Program at the South Brunswick Senior Center on Jan. 21.

Some of South Brunswick's best and brightest dance students will be kicking up their heels for a good cause this month. As a benefit for the South Brunswick Food Pantry, Dance Storm International, located on Route 27 in Franklin Township, will hold their second annual Give Back Program with a talent showcase to help the less fortunate.

"All the performers are excellent and this is a way for us to give back to the community and raise money for people in need," said Dance Director Lysette Coraggio. "We did this last year in January because everyone gives to the food pantry during Christmas and then it's empty again soon after. So the whole school, age 3 and up, will be performing and all of the money raised and food collected goes right to the food bank."

Dance Storm owner Ed Cronk said last year's Give Back Program raised $1,000 and brought hundreds of pounds of food to the pantry.

"Lysette taught my children how to dance and do gymnastics so I feel like I've come full circle as she's involved and doing things for the community," said Social Services Director LouAnne Wolf. "We're so grateful to Lysette and Ed for doing their dance showcase to benefit the South Brunswick Food Pantry."

The second annual Give Back Program by the Dance Storm Dance and theater school will be held on Jan. 21 at the starting at 2 p.m.
