Swim Evaluations: Week of February 4

The Y Aquatic Program involves classes that are participant centered. The emphasis is on learning, not passing or failing. Each developmental level is divided into five components which include personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water games and rescue. It is not uncommon for a child to repeat any given level.

Intro to Gymnastics (Ages 4-6)
A great class to introduce participants to the sport of gymnastics! Classes include movement, exploration, balance, and confidence in a fun and safe environment. Children will be introduced to beam, vault and tumbling. Class follows YMCA progressive Gymnastics Program.

Private Basketball & Soccer Lessons (Ages 3-14)

Private lessons are available for children with instruction based upon individual skill level. Class ratio is 1:1. Participants will be encouraged to explore different drills, skills, running activities, and games.  This program is designed for children with social, emotional, or physical challenges to interact with an instructor. All skills are taught through different play activities.

Tennis (Ages 6-9)

Class Ratio 10:1:  A Class for Children 5 - 10 years old will learn basic tennis skills and develop eye coordination. The children will be using a smaller court and slower ball. Mini-Tennis is a great way to develop the skills of young players and it's USTA approved. A tennis racquet is required.
