Princeton: Spend a Memorial Weekend filled with Romance and History

If you live in or close to Princeton, there are romantic getaways to be had right around the corner from you!

Rekindle the romance in your relationship by stealing away together to Princeton, New Jersey.

"What's so special about Princeton?" you might ask. For starters, Christopher Reeve grew up in Princeton. And, the television show "House, M.D." filmed on location at Princeton University.

In all seriousness, Princeton's history dates back to the Lenni Lenape Indians who were in Princeton when the Europeans settled there in the latter part of the 19th century. As such, Princeton is chock full of history. From antique shops, museums, and the university to trails and B&B's, there are lots of places for romantic interludes.

End the day with dinner at The Peacock Inn Restaurant, which is listed among the "Best New Restaurants" by New Jersey Monthly Magazine. Executive Chef Manuel Perez has received acclaim for his "New American" cuisine menu and has received four stars (an "Excellent" rating) from The Star Ledger.
