The Willows continued swimming in the 2013 “A” league division by competing in four dual swim meets this month.
On July 10, the Willows Wave hosted the Roycefield Rapids. Despite falling to the Rapids, the Willows broke three club records.
First, Nina Mendes broke the 11/12 girls 100 meter freestyle with a time of 1:08.40. Following Nina was Daniel Badawy who then broke the 9/10 boys 50 meter butterfly with a record time of 38.17.

Finishing the record setting day was the 8 and under girls 100 free relay. Members Reilly Hazard, Sophia Fellouris, Grace Sorochen and Emma Hazard swam the relay in 1:25.15 breaking a 25-year old record.
The team then swam against the highly competitive SVY Blue Doplins followed by competing against Frog Hollow for the second time. They finished out the regular dual meet season by hosting Cedar Hill.

During the meet, two pool records were broken. Emma Hazard broke the 8/u girls 25 free with a time of 17.29 and Nina Mendes broke another record.
This time it was the 11/12 girls 100 meter IM! The new record is 1:19.94. In addition, the Willows honored their seniors, Tessa Trach and Amanda Cipriano. Tessa will be attending University of Maryland and Amanda will be going to Towson State.
