Vikings Win 40-17 Over Middletown North

T.J. Perkowski keys 40-17 victory for South Brunswick High School.

South Brunswick High School bounced back from their first loss of the season in a big way the last two games. The Vikings went on the road and scored a resounding victory over Middletown North High School last night by a score of 40-17.

After suffering their first loss of the season on Oct. 5 at Piscataway, SBHS rebounded with two straight dominating victories, including last week's 35-7 win over J.P. Stevens.

T.J. Perkowski led the way for the Vikings last night with 104 rushing yards, 108 passing yards and two touchdowns. Dontae Strickland also added two touchdowns for the Vikings, including a 93-yard kickoff return.

Middletown was able to close the South Brunswick lead to 23-17 before Strickland answered with the kickoff return and the Vikings put the game away with 17 unanswered points.

The 6-1 Vikings will be back home on Friday to face Sayreville. That night will also feature the retirement of the jersey number formerly worn by current NFL player Mohamed Sanu, who was once a standout at South Brunswick.
