Vikings Travel To Edison Tonight to Face J.P. Stevens

The South Brunswick High School football team will look to keep their dream season rolling along as the Vikings travel to Edison tonight to battle J.P. Stevens High School. The 6-0 Vikings return to the road after a dominating 45-14 win over
The SBHS offense showed off its big play capability, as the first four touchdowns against Old Bridge all came on plays of at least 40 yards. Darrell Harper was responsible for two of those scores, with a 40-yard touchdown run and a 77-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first half.
TJ Taylor was responsible for the other long touchdowns, with a 63-yard pass from TJ Perkowski, and a 69-yard touchdown from Dan Gorzynski in the third quarter. Dante Strickland added touchdown runs of 1 and 6 yards to close out Old Bridge.

South Brunswick went to the air last week more frequently than previous games, where the ground attack has ruled the day. The Vikings attempted eight passes, completing six for 202 yards. South Brunswick ran the ball 34 times for 188 yards against Old Bridge.
This week's showdown comes against the 2-4 Hawks of J.P. Stevens. The Hawks share a few common opponents with the Vikings, as they fell to Woodbridge 42-12 on Sept. 16. SBHS defeated Woodbridge 28-24 on Oct. 9.

J.P. Stevens lost to Old Bridge 27-0 on Oct. 1, lost to Sayreville 35-0 on Oct. 6 and lost to Piscataway 41-7 on Oct. 14.
South Brunswick defeated Sayreville 14-7 on Sept. 9, and defeated Piscataway 28-7 on Sept. 16.
The Vikings are now ranked fifth in the state of New Jersey by MaxPreps, and ranked 163 in the entire country.
