John Harding started the swimming program at South Brunswick High School in 1997. The -- and in the career of Harding -- happened on Dec. 21 when South Brunswick defeated North Brunswick, 110-60.

South Brunswick boys basketball finished , losing in the first round of the Central Jersey Group IV Tournament.  , an improvement on the team's 13-12 mark in 2009-10. Those 14 wins included a victory in both the Greater Middlesex Conference and Central Jersey Group IV tournaments.

With a , South Brunswick High School baseball is looking forward to a strong 2012 after thewon the AABC Don Mattingly State Tournament.

It was also a strong year for South Brunswick Little League, as the South Brunswick team won the Central Jersey Baseball League and the among numerous youth league highlights in town. 

Competing against the best high school dance teams in the country in the National championships in Florida,

The varsity jazz squad advanced to the final round and placed 18th in the country. The varsity pom team placed 22nd. The top 20 teams in each division reached the final round.

The SBHS girls track team took home , as the girls 4x100 meter relay team of Alicia Osley, Mariah Browne, Janae Baker, and Rachel Johnson placed fifth in the state with a time of 48.52.

Mariah Browne placed 9th in the long jump with a jump of 17-feet 5-inches, Amber Brown, 8th in the discus with a throw of 120-feet 10-inches, and Chloe Hall was 19th in the discus with a throw of 111-feet 1-inch.

The South Brunswick High in the Greater Middlesex Conference championships, as  at the State Track & Field Championships.

South Brunswick High School graduate Mohamed Sanu set a new Big East record for receptions during a stellar 2011 season. Sanu spent last year split between wide receiver and "Wildcat" quarterback, before being able to focus on receiver this year.

"It's a blessing to be able to do many things," . "Right now, I'm pretty happy to be able to just focus on doing one thing. I get to see how good I can be at one thing." 

Sanu as a person and an athlete.

"Coming through South Brunswick, I got a great foundation to start from," Sanu said. "I got a great education."
