South Brunswick U-10 Black 4-0 in Cranford Tournament

Team will play in Maryland this weekend

The South Brunswick U-10 Black baseball team has already won the Central Jersey championship. Now, the team is trying its best to fill up an entire trophy room.

The U-10 team, which also goes by the nickname the Vikings, is playing in the Cranford Tournament.

South Brunswick has dominated action so far, going 4-0. It has outscored the opposition by a score of 49-19.

South Brunswick was scheduled to play Berkeley Heights on July 6. After that, the team will be off from the Cranford Tournament until next week when the playoffs start in the event.

South Brunswick will continue to be very busy, however, as the team is scheduled to travel to Aberdeen, Maryland to compete in the High Heat Tournament this weekend.

"The Vikings will have been selected to play on the prestigious Cal Senior’s Yard – a replica of the Baltimore Orioles’ famed Camden Yards," South Brunswick Coach David Ciccone noted.

South Brunswick will play the Catsonville Cubs and the LUYAA Lightning on Saturday to determine how they seed for playoff pool on Sunday.
