South Brunswick also did very well in several of the novice events.

"It is nice for some of our younger, less experienced athletes to earn medals and have some success that they can hopefully build on in the future," Moorhead said.

"The meet was our first chance this season to run relays, and I thought we did pretty well overall," Moorhead said. "In most of the relays we had two or three solid performances. The goal over the coming weeks is to get all four runners competing at the same high level, on the same day."

South Brunswick will want to be at its best on Jan. 6, when it takes part in the Middlesex County Relays, which will be held at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
