South Brunswick PAL Football Moves to 2-0 on Season

Vikings dominate Carteret Bulldogs by a score of 18-0.

The South Brunswick PAL Pee Wee football team beat the Carteret Bulldogs 18-0 this week, extending their season record to 2-0.

The Vikings took the opening kick-off at mid-field and orchestrated an 8-play drive to score on the first possession of the game. Jason Briggs scored from 6 yards out on a hand-off from QB Matthew D'Angiolillo.

Briggs added two more touchdowns later in the game to complete the scoring for the Vikings. South Brunswick dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball with Justin Cooper, Max LaCorte, Freddie Offenburger, and Nick Jairdullo leading the offensive line.

The Vikings defense shut down the Bulldogs throughout the game, and never allowed Carteret inside the South Brunswick 40-yard line. The defense was led by LaCorte, Kyle Gruver, Chris Oakes, Angelo Gamba, and Matthew Harrison.

The South Brunswick defense has not given up a touchdown to the opposition so far this season.

The Vikings travel to the Jersey Shore conference Sunday to play the Manasquan Blue Warriors.
