Featuring a mix of experienced and new players, the members of the girls golf team got in a lot of practice swings as they prepared for the 2012 season.
South Brunswick returns three letter winners. Those golfers are Julia Bae (sophomore), Kathryn Chell (senior) and Talia Togno.
Among the new members to the team are Chelsea Anglin (freshman), Samantha Bishop (sophomore), Justine Bleacher (senior), Victoria Lam (junior), Sydney Sookerman (sophomore), Naina Kamata and Monika Bagle (sophomore).

This group will be looking to continue what has become a winning tradition at South Brunswick. The Vikings have won the Greater Middlesex Conference championship the past four years.

"Our goals are to win the league title, qualify for the sectionals and win the GMC," Dougherty said.
South Brunswick started the pursuit of a great season when it hosted Notre Dame on yesterday. This is the lone match in the first week of the season.
Following the opener, South Brunswick will be off to Apr. 11 when it faces Old Bridge in a match.
South Brunswick is scheduled for 19 matches between Apr. 2 and May 14. With the early break in the season, this means the team will be very active once they resume play on April 11, often playing three times a week.
The plan is, obviously, to be sharp and playing their best golf when tournament time comes.
