On May 9, South Brunswick defeated Old Bridge, 207-232.

South Brunswick is scheduled to face East Brunswick on May 10 and Montgomery on May 13. On May 16, South Brunswick will take part in the sectional meet at Bey Lea Golf Club.

There are two sectionals in the state. The top four teams from each section will face off in the state finals.

"There are a lot of really good teams in our section," Dougherty said. "Only eight teams make it to the state finals, so it will be tough. Could we grab that fourth spot? We could. I think the girls have it in them. Our top three girls would probably have to shoot in the mid 40s. Our other girls would probably need to shoot in the mid 50s. If they do that, we have an opportunity to make the states."
