Third-seeded Lady Vikings battle number two seed Piscataway tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the semi-finals of the GMC Tournament.

The South Brunswick High School girls basketball team will try to make history Tuesday evening. The Vikings (19-4) will face Piscataway tonight in the GMC Tournament semi-finals in an attempt to become the first SBHS girls squad to reach the championship since 1976.

The Vikings are led by junior forward Danielle Padovano (15.2 points per game, 12.7 rebounds per game) and senior guard Vanessa Perdomo (4.0 ppg, 5.4 rpg).

South Brunswick and Piscataway played twice so far this season, with each team coming away with a victory. SBHS won 60-50 on Dec. 22, while Piscataway came out on top later this season with a 50-49 win on Jan. 24.

The game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. at South Brunswick High School, at 750 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction. Come out and support the Vikings as they try and make history.
