South Brunswick Columbus Day Baseball Tournament

Fundraiser to Send U-12 South Brunswick Vikings Baseball team to Cooperstown.

The South Brunswick Vikings Baseball U-12's had a big year last summer, and is hoping to kick of next summer in style by heading to Cooperstown for a week of games and baseball history.

“Every year SBAA sends one team, to go to Cooperstown,” said team Manager Andrew Goldsmith. “It’s in July and they play for a full week. This year there there should be over 120 teams there from everywhere in the world. It’s a great experience.”

Goldsmith said SBAA fronts partial cost of the trip, and the team is responsible for raising money to reimburse the club. Goldsmith said it would cost in excess of $10,000. Running the tournament will offset some of the cost for the boys and also offer local teams a tournament to play during the holiday.
