South Brunswick Boys Participate in NFL Play 60 Event

Standout youth South Brunswick athletes Sean Goldsmith and Michael Slover get a taste of NFL style competition.

Young South Brunswick athletes Sean Goldsmith and Michael Slover brought their talents to the big city last week at the National Football League's Play 60 event.

The event was held at the Chelsea Piers in New York City. Play 60 is sponsored by the NFL and dedicated to getting kids to play 60 minutes a day.

It teaches the kids skills and drills and the importance of staying physically active for at least one hour each day to improve their health and ability to play in sports.

Sean and Michael have both played tackle football for years with the South Brunswick PAL Pop Warner Football program, and both plan to play football this year as they move on to the Crossroads Middle School Football Team.

Sean is on the South Brunswick 12 U SBAA Vikings Travel Baseball (A) Team and a member of the South Brunswick PAL Travel Basketball Team.

Michael is on the South Brunswick 11 U SBAA Vikings Travel Baseball (A) Team and member of the South Brunswick PAL Travel Wrestling Team. the 10-year-old age group (PPK) competition at the Meadowlands with a combined total of 213 1/2 feet.
