Sign Up for South Brunswick Youth Football and Cheerleading

SBPAL is sponsoring a free youth football clinic on Sunday to usher in the upcoming season.

With Spring in bloom, that means football and cheerleading season is around the corner.

In anticipation, the SBPAL is sponsoring a free youth football clinic that will be conducted by South Brunswick High School Head Coach Joseph Goerge and the SBHS football team. The event will be held at Rowland Park starting at 10 a.m.

It is a great opportunity for previous players to get back on the field, or for those interested in learning more about the SBPAL football program to get an introduction prior to the Aug. 1 start of the season.

The clinic is for kids age 8 through middle school (sorry, no Tiny Mites). No registration is necessary. Players should wear plastic/rubber cleats and bring water.

Registration is now open online for cheerleading, as well as football, at www.sbpalsports.org.  Please note that after registration is complete, the Coaches and Cheer Director will place the girls on the appropriate squad based on date of birth, grade/skill level, and registration levels to ensure equality across team levels and for the overall benefit of the program.  Special requests for squad placement will not be accepted.

The online registration process is quick and simple. Payment is by credit card only (Visa or MasterCard), and you will receive immediate confirmation. If you prefer to register your child in-person, they will be holding in-person registration at the South Brunswick Municipal Center on May 20 from 6-9 p.m.  Orientation will be held at a date TBD in June.

Lastly, PAL is in need of more parents to become (assistant) coaches. Central Jersey Pop Warner strictly mandates that there is one certified coach per every 12 cheerleaders.

They have many other ways for you to get involved as well, as Wardrobe Coordinator, Team Mom, etc. Please consider volunteering some time to help out this season. It is a rewarding experience.

Should you have any questions, please contact Cheer Director JoAnn Campisano at 732-406-1823.
