SBHS Wrestling Fights Through Tough Start

South Brunswick High School wrestling went 0-3 last weekend in dual meet that saw the Vikings fall to East Brunswick, Bishop Ahr, and West Orange over the weekend. 

The Vikings lost 39-24 to East Brunswick, lost 48-21 to West Orange and dropped a 43-29 contest to Bishop Ahr. 

For the Vikings, the individual standouts were 113 lbs. grappler Michael Klimkiewicz and 120 lbs. wrestler Jake Daniel, who both went undefeated at the meet. 

On Tuesday, SBHS lost to Somerville by a score of 47-21. Daniel and Maxwell Rhoden scored pinfall wins for the Vikings, while Josh Hypolite won a 5-1 decision.

With the loss SBHS fell to 3-8 on the year. 

The Vikings will be back in action at home on Jan. 18 in a four-team meet against North Brunswick, Chatham and Belvidere.
