Roller Derby Comes to Kendall Park Aug. 12

Middlesex County knows how to beat the summer heat indoors with the country's newest sports revival: women's flat-track roller derby.

Fresh off a four-game winning streak, The New Jersey Hellrazors women's roller derby team, located out of the Central NJ area, host the Salisbury Roller Girls of Maryland on Sunday, August 12, at 7 p.m. at the Kendall Park Roller Rink in Kendall Park, NJ.

The game is a rematch from their May victory where they traveled to Salisbury, MD and they hope to come off with another win this season.  The NJ Hellrazors are known for their sportsmanship and dedication to the sport of roller derby in the tri-state area, and more recently hosted a charity bout which raised over $1,000 in donations from ticket sales to "Join Ana's Cru." 
 
This event takes place on Sunday, August 12, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. (whistle at 7 p.m.) at the Kendall Park Roller Rink, 3550 Route 27, Kendall Park.

Ticket costs are $10 general admission, $12 at the door, and free for kids under age 10. Public service workers receive $2 off at the door if they show a badge. All ages are welcome.  
 
Other highlights for this event include live DJ music, 15-minute chair massages provided by MassageLuXe of Kendall Park, team merchandise, baked goods, and more.
