Middlesex County Parks and Recreation Opens Enrollment for Freeholders' Basketball Tournament

Open to players ages 10 to 17.

Enrollment is now open for the annual Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders' Youth Basketball Tournament, slated to begin in early March.

Presented by the Middlesex County Office of Parks and Recreation, the tournament splits players into four divisions.

Youth Division One is open to boys and girls ages 10 and under; Youth Division Two is open to boys and girls ages 12 and under; Youth Division Three is open to boys and girls ages 13 and 14; and Youth Division Four is open to boys and girls ages 15 to 17.

According to a release from the county, the single game elimination tournament will be held at the Middlesex County Vocational-Technical School, 21 Suttons Lane, Piscataway.

The age cutoff is Oct. 31, and each team must have a mininum of five but no more than 20 players, the release said.

The cost is $75 per team. Birth certificates for each player are required before the first game.

The deadline to register and submit rosters is Feb. 17.
