Lightning Cancels SBHS Football Opener; Rescheduled for Sunday
Season debut of defending Group V State Champion Vikings vs. East Brunswick will kickoff at noon on Sept. 15 at SBHS.
South Brunswick High School's defense of the first football state championship will have to wait a few days.
The game scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday against East Brunswick was cancelled after thunderstorms ripped the area shortly before game time. The game has been rescheduled at South Brunswick High School for Sunday, Sept. 15 at noon.
The weather on Sunday should be much more kind, with sunny skies and a high of 75 degrees predicted.
