Keenan Powers SBHS to Upset of St. Joe's

Vikings star Sean Keenan allowed one unearned run on three hits with nine strike outs to lead South Brunswick High School to victory over top 10 ranked St. Joseph.

After falling to the tenth-ranked team in the entire state on April 19 by a score of 7-5, South Brunswick High School needed a big time pitching performance to quiet the bats of St. Joseph on Monday.

The Vikings got one from a familiar source. Senior star Sean Keenan came up big for SBHS, allowing one unearned run on three hits with nine strike outs and one walk, as South Brunswick downed St. Joseph 2-1. Keenan also went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Chris Huber went 1-for-3 with one RBI for the Vikings, while T.J. Perkowski recorded a walk, run scored and stolen base. Jake Izzo and Tommy Fisher also added hits for the Vikings in a tight pitcher's duel.
