Vintage Guitar Concert - Free at South Brunswick Public Library Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m.

Free concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30 at South Brunswick Public Library by Ken Lelen and his vintage guitars, playing music made famous with famous guitars such as Gibson, Martin and Vega.

Free concerts are just another great reason to love the Library and evidence that today's library offers much much more than just books, not that there is anything wrong with books.

On Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. see and hear performer Ken Lelen demonstrate the genuine sounds of his vintage guitars.  Hear jazz, ragtime and swing.  Ken will play the vintage guitar from the period of music for each song choice.  The concert will feature music made popular between 1925 and 1955 by singing idols such as Dinah Shore, Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Jo Stafford, Frank Sinatra, and Peggy Lee.  The famous guitars expected to make an appearance include models such as Gibson, Martin, Regal, and Vega.

Between the musical performances expect to hear some storytelling and details about the guitars and musical periods.  Questions will be welcome.
