Win Tons of Prizes at St. Augustine of Canterbury School's Tricky Tray Raffle

Fundraiser offers a chance to win prizes while supporting the school's programming.

will offer guests a chance to win any number of great prizes as part of their biggest fundraiser of the year, the The event, which is open to the public, will feature numerous items to win via raffle, including televisions, an X-box, iPad, a Nook, Coach handbags, and several gift certificates for area restaurants and stores.

"There will be well over 100 things being raffled off, including a 50/50 and gift tree, so it's a lot of fun," said Kathy Borowick, one of the event's organizers. "We last did this in November 2010, and it's a really good time with lots of winners and it supports the kids."

The event helps to fund programs and technology resources in the classrooms, textbooks and improvements to the school, among other things. The last raffle event drew in between 500 to 600 people.

In addition to multiple entertainment prizes, the event also offers more practical giveaways, such as two $1,000 gift certifcates for orthdontry.

"Three of my kids have braces so that's a big expense," Borowick said.

Tickets cost for adults $15 and includes one raffle ticket sheet, coffee and tea. The Tricky Tray Raffle is bring your own food and/or BYOB.

Purchase six tickets or more to reserve your own private table. If purchase less than six tickets, groups will be combined with other people to fill a table.

The event will be held at on Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. with the first drawing to begin at 7:30 p.m. 

"This is a night for people to come together and enjoy each other's company while supporting the kids," Borowick said. "So it's a win-win situation, and you might even go home with an X-box."
