South Brunswick Superintendent Leaving After a Decade in the District

South Brunswick Superintendent Dr. Gary McCartney will be leaving the district in 2014, according to the South Brunswick Post.

McCartney came to the district in 2004, according to The Post. He replaced Sam Stewart, according to The Post. He said he will not be involved in appointing his own successor.

He's made a lengthy career for himself in education, spending a total of 46 years in the field, including 36 in Pennsylvania and 27 as a superintendent.

According to The Post, McCartney makes $204,000 a year. He told The Post he informed the district of his decision last year.
