Whiz Kids: South Brunswick Students Submit Creative Work to Local Children's Magazine

Several young South Brunswick writers were published in the spring issue of the local Kendall Park children's magazine, City Kidz World.

Several young South Brunswick writers were published in the spring issue of the local Kendall Park children’s magazine, City Kidz World magazine and will be honored at the City Kidz World Writing Studio Authors’ Tea at the South Brunswick Public Library on June 26 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The community is invited.

The writers, Tanvi Wagle,  Shrish, Nehal Thakker, Shree Amin, Om Amin and Isha Wagle submitted various types of writing and art submissions.

Fifth-grader Tanvi published the poems “Music” and “Snow”; sixth-grader Shrish published “Comic”, third-grader Nehal Thakker published “Cartwheels Everywhere”; second-grader Shree Amin published “Everyone’s Different”; first-grader Om Amin published illustration “Va-room”; and first-grader Isha Wagle published “My Super Dad."

“These students are incredible. They took a great deal of extra time to work on their writing and creativity during the school year," said Diane Henderson, editor of City Kidz World magazine.  "Every issue of the magazine is dedicated to encouraging young people to express themselves. We plan to honor the writers in the presence of their parents, their peers and their community by having a recognition program that is open to the public at the South Brunswick Library.

“We are also going to encourage students to read their writing at the Authors’ Tea during the open mic portion  of program."

City Kidz World magazine may be found in several locations in South Brunswick including; Rockin’ Joes, Uptown Playaround, Kumon, the South Brunswick Public Library, the YMCA, CVS,  Pierre’s Deli, Pro Skate and many other family destinations.
