South Brunswick Names Educators of the Year
District to honor winners from each South Brunswick school.
Annually, the South Brunswick School District provides an opportunity for deserving teachers and educational service professionals to be recognized by students, parents, colleagues, administrators and/or citizens in the community for their dedication and the impact they had on students and the school community.
This year, the selection committee was comprised of one or more members of our faculty, administration and parent community, and had the pleasure of reviewing 238 nomination letters. The committee reviewed each letter and used the following criterion to determine a winner for each school:
- Sets high expectations for all students
- Establishes a positive classroom climate and rapport with all students
- Makes sure that students learn (uses effective instructional techniques and methods)
- Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies to support student learning
- Instills a love of learning and a feeling of self-worth in students
While all nominees were worthy of distinction, the district congratulates the following 2013 South Brunswick School District Educator of the Year honorees. The public is invited to come out on Monday, May 6, 7 p.m. at Crossroads North Middle School as the Board of Education pays tribute to this unique group.
