SBHS Project Graduation Benefit Concert

Shaun Ruymen will be performing at South Brunswick High School with his full band on Friday, June 3 in a concert to benefit Project Graduation.

The SBHS Project Graduation committee is pleased to announce that Shaun Ruymen will be performing at South Brunswick High School with his full band on Friday, June 3 in a concert to benefit Project Graduation. Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door and will be on sale during all SBHS lunches May 23-27 or by emailing sbhsprojectgraduation@gmail.com.

Ruymen, an SBHS Technology teacher and volleyball coach, offers a mix of original music and memorable covers, putting on a live show that is full of energy and excitement and leaving audiences wanting more.  Ruymen has been described as, “combining the contemporary polish and pop sensibilities of Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz with the roots-y passion and Americana feel of such crossover country acts as Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown.”

His live performances have been sharpened on the stage, supporting established national acts like Josh Gracin and up-and-comers like Mishka and The Right Now. Several of his songs  have been featured in MTV’s The Real World: New Orleans and “Full of U” , and in the Touchstone Pictures release, You Again.  Ruymen’s music can be heard on iTunes and on www.shaunruymen.com.

This will be the final fundraiser before the 2011 Project Graduation event.  Project Graduation has been embraced by the residents of South Brunswick since 1992 and since that time, each graduating class has been provided with an opportunity to celebrate their graduation night with their peers in a safe, supervised, tobacco, substance and alcohol-free atmosphere.
