Photos: SBHS Wrestlers Go Red for 8-Year-Old with Brain Cancer and How You Can Help the Family

Visit the district wrestling tournament at SBHS to buy a baked good or donate money to support Brandon Dominguez, or print out the flyer to bring to Buffalo Wild Wings on Sunday.

The varsity wrestlers of South Brunswick High School exited the Milazzo & Mattey salon in Milltown last night as a collective unit of red-haired grapplers with a singular purpose.  Heading into the the District 20 wrestling tournament at SBHS today, the team is not only wrestling for individual glory, but also to honor teammate David Dominguez's 8-year-old brother Brandon, who is battling brain cancer.

The team decided to dye their hair red for Brandon, as red is his favorite color.  The second grader at Greenbrook Elementary School is facing chemotherapy five times a week for the next 40 weeks.  The cost of transporting Brandon to treatment at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City is estimated at $500 per week.

To help ease the financial hardship of the Dominguez family, a fundraiser will be held at the district tournament today and tomorrow at SBHS.  There will be a bake sale to raise money for Brandon and they will also accept cash donations.
