Middlesex County College to Host Baseball Literature Program

Free event will feature four local authors discussing three different works on the history of baseball.

Middlesex County College will host “A Night of Baseball Readings & Writings” at 6:30 p.m. March 6 at the College Center, 2600 Woodbridge Ave.

According to a release from the college, four local authors will discuss the books they have written about baseball during the free event.

Lawrence Hogan, a Union County College professor is the author of “Shades of Glory: The Negro Leagues and the Story of African-American Baseball"; Bill Morales is a Bergen County College professor and the author of “Farewell to the Last Golden Era: The Yankees, the Pirates and the 1960 Baseball Season"; and  Home News Tribune writer Gene Racz and Frank Russo, who runs the website www.thedeadballera.com are the authors of “Bury My Heart at Cooperstown: Salacious, Sad, and Surreal Deaths in the History of Baseball."
