Ruymen has been described as, “combining the contemporary polish and pop sensibilities of Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz with the roots-y passion and Americana feel of such crossover country acts as Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown,” according to the Project Graduation committee.

Ruymen's live performances have been honed on stage by supporting established national acts like Josh Gracin and up-and-comers like Mishka and The Right Now. Several of Ruymen's songs  have been featured in MTV’s The Real World: New Orleans and “Full of U” , and in the Touchstone Pictures release, You Again.  Ruymen’s music can also be heard on iTunes and on www.shaunruymen.com.

Opening for the Shaun Ruymen Band will be Audacity  - an experimental/metal/rock band featuring four former SBHS 2010 graduates: Dan Klaps, Mike Martino, Drew Weinstein and Steve Nieves.

Audacity has performed at such iconic rock venues as the Stone Pony and Starland Ballroom.

Project Graduation has been embraced by the residents of South Brunswick since 1992 and since that time, each graduating class has been provided with an opportunity to celebrate their graduation night with their peers in a safe, supervised, tobacco, substance and alcohol-free atmosphere.

This year’s event will be held at the Funplex, an indoor-outdoor recreational facility in Mt. Laurel, NJ.  The event is organized and funded through the efforts of parents and local community organizations such as the South Brunswick Municipal Alliance and is offered free-of-charge to every graduating senior.
