A Bollywood Celebration to Support the Education Foundation of South Brunswick

The Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central New Jersey (IACFNJ) will be hosting "A Touch of Bollywood" at South Brunswick High School on Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

A Bollywood style celebration will be coming to South Brunswick this weekend to support education in town. The Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central New Jersey (IACFNJ) will be hosting "A Touch of Bollywood" at South Brunswick High School on Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

"This will be an outstanding show and I am very excited about it," said IACFNJ founder Mac Shah. "The most important is the great cause that all proceeds will be donated to, the Education Foundation of South Brunswick."

The Education Foundation of South Brunswick seeks to provide educational support for students and teachers through programs and projects that fall outside of the district's operational budget.

The Foundation awarded more than $5,200 in grants to members of the South Brunswick High School (“SBHS”), Constable Elementary School (“CES”), and Indian Fields Elementary School (“IFES”) faculties this year. The foundation last year awarded two $2,500 scholarships to seniors at South Brunswick High School, according to Vice President Martin Abschutz.

This weekend's Bollywood fundraiser will feature dinner, a fashion show, and live music by the Hidden Gems. In addition, there will be ive performances of Bollywood songs by local dance schools, such as Kalanjali School of Dance, Bina Master, Rohit Baxi – Fusion, Archana Joglekar, Bina Shah, and the Latika dance school.

"I urge all the community to come out and support the event for our school system and our kids," Shah said.
