Fire Elections on Saturday

Voters will decide proposed budget and fire commissioners in South Brunswick's three fire districts.

South Brunswick's fire budgets will be voted on tomorrow as voters will cast their ballots in the township's three fire districts.  Polls will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Fire District 2 (Monmouth Junction)

  • Proposed Budget: $1.04 million
  • Tax Levy: $828,865
  • Tax Rate: 3.9 cents per $100 of assessed valuation
  • Fire Commissioners: Charles Smith is running unopposed for one open seat.
  • Polling Location: 573 Ridge Road

Fire District 3 (Kingston)

  • Proposed Budget: $444,043
  • Tax Levy: $273,381
  • Tax Rate: 4.8 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
  • Fire Commissioners: Norman Luck and Charlie Hoens are running unopposed for two open seats. 
  • Polling Location: 6 Heathcote Road

Fire District 1 (Kendall Park)
