Democratic Incumbents Retain Middlesex County Freeholder Seats

Former South Brunswick Deputy Mayor Carol Barrett elected to another term.

Incumbent Democratic Middlesex County Freeholders Charles Tomaro (Edison) and Carol Barrett (Monmouth Junction), the former Deputy Mayor of South Brunswick, won re-election for three-year terms in Tuesday's election.

Current Republican South Brunswick Councilman John O'Sullivan and running mate Avi Duvdevani (South Amboy) both fell short by over 10,000 votes in their bid to unseat the incumbents, according to unofficial results from the Middlesex County Clerk's Office.

Tomaro received 58,826 votes, while Barrett received 58,795 votes. O'Sullivan received 42,647 votes and Duvdevani 39,237 votes.
